The bookie’s team: Game Week 7 #FPL

Hi everyone, this is a weekly blog post where we document changes to our team based on bookie’s odds. Having done this last season we’d like to think we’ve learned from our mistakes and aim to finish higher than our top 7% finish. This is not a wildcard XI or a team of the best possible players, this is an actual team which we have had since GW1 and have made changes to throughout the season. With the introduction and warning away, no to introduce to you the bookie’s team for Game Week 6. This post will review our changes and reason as to why we brought them in.

Currently, we’re 225,617th in the world and aim to be in the top 1% by the end of the season. All with the help of the bookies. To view the team, click on the following link: OddsonFPLTeam

Last week we went with two transfers Hart and Maddison in, Guaita and Pedro out. What a swing this was for us! Hart and Maddison returned a combined 17 points. Had we not made these transfers we would have got 2 points from McCarthy. Pedro didn’t play so Bennett would have come off the bench with 2 points. A swing of 13 points in our favour after making the transfer.

The expected points was  61.98 which you can see https://www.oddsonfpl.com/the-bookies-team-game-week-6-fpl/

Our forwards and midfielders had a nice time last week with only one player blanking which was Mane. The other five players all scored. Defensively our team wasn’t as good, unfortunately.  Joe Hart and the hero that is Wan-Bissaka saving our back line getting 18 points combined.

This week we made two transfers for a (-4) hit. Salah and Pritchard out. Richarlison and Dele Alli in. This caused quite the debate in OddsOnFpl HQ, and by HQ I mean our Whatsapp group. We came to the conclusion that taking Salah out was the best thing to do given his fixtures as we plan to Wildcard in game week 9 and can bring him back in. This week our expected points is 58.28. Aguero is our captain as he’s the highest expected points.
