Well after a disaster in GW17 for most. Salah/Kane/Hazard all blanking saw a lot of people knocked out of the cup with Zombie teams beating them due to having Lukaku/Willian.I even saw one with Okazaki! This weeks highest expected points scorer is Alexis Sanchez with a points expectancy of 6.18[table “212” not found /]
Odds suggest that Jamie Vardy(4.9 Point Expectancy) is an option you should consider when finalising your fantasy lineup for GW18. Leicester are at home to Crystal Palace in the early kick-off on Saturday. If Leicester are to get any attacking returns going forward, there’s a fair chance that Vardy will be involved.
Brighton are at home to Burnley on Saturday afternoon and Glenn Murray(3.62 Point Expectancy) should be leading the attacking lines for Brighton. Burnley are in good form at present but their away form has been suspect at times. Burnley have some defensive worries also so based on this it’s worth considering Murray for the 3rd striker position in your side.
Following his late equalizer in the Merseyside Derby, Wayne Rooney(2.9 Point Expectancy) looks an interesting prospect going forward with Everton having a run of favourable fixtures aside from the Chelsea game on the 23rd. Based on GW16, it would appear Rooney has the role of Penalty Taker which makes him a more appealing option.[table “213” not found /]
Alexis Sanchez(6.18 Point Expectancy) may seem as a captain option for some in GW18. He looks the main attacking threat from an Arsenal point of view. He should find himself getting into a plentiful supply of attacking positions here against a struggling Newcastle side.
Despite blanking in GW17, Eden Hazard(6.03 Point Expectancy) looks like a player you must have going into the busy Christmas period. Hazard should get himself into plenty attacking positions and some may see him as a potential captain for GW18.
I cant do this article without mentioning the revelation that is Salah(5.92 Point Expectancy), quite possibly the signing of the summer and now made African Player of the year. Liverpool are away to Bournemouth in the late kick-off on Sunday. With Salah in the form of his life at the moment, his good run should continue at the Vitality Stadium.[table “214” not found /]
With Arsenal at home to Newcastle on Saturday afternoon, Kolasinac(5.13 Point Expectancy) looks a good prospect to get himself some attacking return as well as a clean sheet. Newcastle haven’t been the best away from home is recent times and Kolasinac should see him getting a number of chances to advance into the Newcastle penalty area.
Cezar Azpilicueta(4.53 Point Expectancy) and Chelsea were on course for a clean sheet in GW17, but a late Huddersfield goal put an end to that. Chelsea are at home to Southampton on Saturday and I’d be hoping Chelsea will keep a clean sheet at a minimum. Dave has been known to pop up with an attacking return every few weeks so he’s due one!
Jonjoe Kenny(2.31 Point Expectancy) looks a decent prospect if you want to get some Everton defensive coverage. Everton have improved in recent weeks since Big Sam has taken over. Ignoring the game vs Chelsea on the 23rd, Everton have a decent run of fixtures and could well pick up some defensive points on the way.[table “215” not found /]
