Gameweek 6 Odds on FPL – Preview #FPL

Wildcard week it is! After two weeks of hitting below average scores, we felt it was the right time to make a change and boy what a change we’ve made. With 7 changes to the starting xi we’re expecting big results from our new recruits.

Jordan Pickford (New) – Expected points 1.72

Evertons fixtures have taken a significant turn and should lead to better results. Pickford who was excellent last year for Sunderland will likely get us some save points as well as some clean sheets.

Stephen Ward (New) – Expected points 2.21

Despite Burnley keeping only 1 clean sheet so far this season, their fixtures are starting to look good. Having already played Chelsea/Tottenham and Liverpool away many would have expected them to concede double digits yet they only conceded a total of 4 goals in those 3 games. A good cheap option to have.

Nicolas Otamendi (New) – Expected points 3.09

Well considering Man City take on the worst attack in the league and it’s wildcard time, we had to choose one of their defenders. We opted for Nicolas Otamendi  as he’s also likely he’ll pop up with a goal every nowa nd then

Eric Bailly (Stayer) – Expected points 2.25

A solid start to the season for Eric keeping 4 clean sheets and scoring a goal there was no way we were gonna be taking him out of the team.

Nacho Monreal(New) – Expected points 2.46

We opted to get rid of Marcos Alonso(Sorry if you saw him on the draft version, forgot to delete him, woopsie!) Another arsenal player in the team so all we’re hoping for now is an Arsenal win to to Nil which would suit our whole team!

Gylfi Sigurdsson (New) – Expected points 2.8

Evertons most expensive signing ever and if ever there was a ‘sure thing’ it would be that Gylfi starts every week for Everton. Hard to judge based on the fixtures that Everton haved played, but his creativity will be crucial for Everton to get some more goals this season.

Dele Alli (Stayer) – Expected points 3.24

A cheaper option than Erisken and will likely outscore Eriksen by the end of season Dele Alli is another stayer for us in the wildcard team.

Alexis Sanchez (Stayer) – Expected points 4.09

Arsenals generous run of fixtures is the reason we have to keep Sanchez, our move of taking out Aguero in GW4 and bringing Sanchez looks absolutely horrific due to Agueros high score last week but we’re confident he’ll produce the goods.

Sergio Aguero(C) (New) – Expected points 4.06

Sergio made this a pretty easy decision for us. His fixtures and his form prove that everybody should be considering him. Rested midweek meaning he’ll  certainly start and a cheaper option than Harry Kane and Romelu Lukaku

Alexandre Lacazette (New) – Expected points 3.13

Triple up on Arsenal! It’ll be Wenger in or Wenger out for us depending on how Arsenal do in their next couple of gameweeks. With Welbeck out injured Wenger should be replacing pace with pace so in steps Lacazette.

Tomer Hemed (New) – Expected points 1.5

A good option to have as he appears to be a guaranteed start now and given that he’s just 4.9M means that we had more funds to spend on the big hitters.

Rob Elliot (Stayer)

A guaranteed starter and a cheap goalkeeper option is usually what everybody wants from their expected sub goalkeeper. The more surprising fact is that Elliot has racked himself a fair few points on top of that. 18 points in his last 3 games and will likely get you those save points.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek (Stayer) – Expected points

Despite poor returns RLC has looked good. Playing OOP gives him a decent chance of providing good returns in fantasy football. If Crystal Palace ever manage to score a goal in the league RLC will likely play a part in it.

Chancel Mbemba (New) – Expected points

Another cheap option in defence for us and is a certain starter until Dummett returns from Injury. Mbemba has totalled up 13 points in 5 game weeks despite not playing in one game. Newcastle have impressed many recently keeping  keeping 2 clean sheets in their last 3 games

Andy King (New) – Expected points

Our 5th choice midfielder and a start for Leicester, occasionally pops up with a goal but it’s unlikely we’ll ever see him grace our starting 11.

In Conclusion:

Our expected points tally is showing at 57 points! Not bad if we hit a score like that. 57 every week would likely leave you in the top 1% and that’s our target!
